Here’s to the pioneers, the older workers who came and stayed and to those who are returning. Aged around 50 or more, their knowledge is a gift yet there are some who ignore its value. Many see their age as a challenge but they see their experience as an opportunity. Here’s to these workers, to their talents and their courage. They are the doers, the helpers, the stayers, the willing and the able. You can ignore them, discount them or reject them, but you cannot deny their presence, nor the contribution they make. These are the workers who see a world full of possibilities and say “why not?”
